Arbaclofen Leads to Some Improvement in Autism Symptoms
Researchers at Vanderbilt University studied the effects of arbaclofen versus a placebo in children with autism. Unlike a prior study, the children on arbaclofen did not show an improvement in social skills. The children did however show an overall improvement in the severity of their symptoms. Further study on the drug is planned.
The study results will be presented at the International Meeting for Autism Research in Spain.
